- Be unique.
- Avoid being monotonic or boring
- Catch the employer’s attention by creating a cover letter that reflects your personality through the way you write, writing something applicable to the job in regard to your character, etc.
- Indicate your interest – and one of them is to be contacted and indicating your availability.
- Make use of easier tactics that will make your cover letter noticed and easily read – use shorter paragraphs, bulleted lists
- Know the company’s background through research.
Letting them know that you are well-acquainted with their company and what they do will initiate a personal touch and will show them you’re definitely interested.
- Think of how you can stand out.
Here are some ways on how to lead your future employer into taking more time to read your cover letter and CV:- Speak up if you know anyone who’s been a key employee or partner of their company, especially if he/ she has referred you
- You may choose to be formal or professional, friendly, and bold
- Be confident.
- Mention a bold statement that would make them realize you have what it takes for that particular position
- Indicate what skills, accomplishment and other relevant information that is required for the job title
- Close the deal; ask to be interviewed.
- This means, initiates action from the employer
- Be assertive but polite when asking for an interview
- This will also signal your genuine interest for the job position
